AAYSA is aimed at raising awareness of the young people, empowering youth and supporting youth participation in democratic initiatives, civic education, active citizenship, promoting youth work and developing youth policy agenda on youth advocacy, engaging youth in media activities and raising awareness in media literacy.

Promoting intercultural dialogue among the youth.
Working actively with youth leaders and representatives of local youth organizations on developing new models of youth work, support youth in media activities, raising awareness of the young people on media literacy and social media in order to promote more wider youth political participation. The activities were organized among the unrepresented youth, local youth communities, socially deprived and rural youth to help them their voices to be heard.
