Sofiya Tryzub-Cook has served as an Executive Board Member of the European Youth Press since November 2023, and has been the representing delegate from the European Youth Press to the European Youth Forum since May 2024. She works as a journalist for the European Correspondent and the Jason Institute, having previously served as Regional Editor for Eastern Europe at the European Correspondent. Prior to this, she was an interviewer at Room for Discussion, where she conducted interviews with economists, politicians, and academics across a range of fields.
Sofiya is deeply interested in criminal justice, geopolitics, and transatlantic affairs. She holds a BSc in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics from the University of Amsterdam, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Custodial Leadership as part of a graduate programme in the UK.
