Harutyun Tsatryan

Executive Board Member

Harutyun Tsatryan is a journalist and media researcher interested in fact-checking journalism and open data investigations. He is based in Yerevan, Armenia. Harutyun started his internship with the European Youth Press early in 2019 and was mostly responsible for external communications. After being elected as an Executive Board member of the organization in October 2019, he takes care of the Projects and Partnerships within the EYP Executive Board. In November 2021, Harutyun was re-elected to be on the Executive Board of the organization with the same responsibilities.

Harutyun delivers lectures on Mass Media and Public Sphere, International Journalism, Fact-Checking & News Verification, and Media and Information Literacy at Yerevan State University. Previously, he has obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Journalism and Political Science. Since 2018 he has PhD degree in Media Studies. He worked as a journalist for several local leading media companies (ARMENPRESS News Agency, Public TV of Armenia, YouthArmenia portal, Fact Investigation Platform, etc.) during his last years of career. At the moment, Harutyun Tsatryan is reporting mostly for international media organizations.
