European Youth Press

At the national youth session 2005 the Swiss Youth Media Association (ASPJ) produced an issue of the German event magazine Politikorange for the first time. An editorial team of 20 young people including participants from Germany and Hungary created a documentation of the session's topic mobility.

Berlin Talent Campus invites young film critics and journalists to report on the films at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival (February 09-19, 2006) and on the events of the Berlinale Talent Campus

About 80 young people, from 15 schoool newspapers took part at a summer school, july 7th-11th, at Holercani. The participants were selected according to a contest, where 25 school sewspapers applied.

12 young people from Austria, Germany and Switzerland met on 29th October in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in order to plan their first trinational youth media camp on Lake Constance in 2005 called Bodensee Camp.

Firsthand impressions from four board members of the European Youth Press visiting the Hungarian youth media camp in Balatonfenyves on Lake Balaton where around 80 youngsters produced print magazines, radio shows and a video program.

In Vienna, the EYP board sets milestones for the next two years. The following activities are planned for 2004 and 2005.

Today, young media makers from 13 European countries have founded the European Youth Press in Berlin. First co-operative negotiations with the European Commission and the European Journalists Federation have been started.
