The European Youth Press is looking for a Secretary General to start as soon as possible in its office in Brussels.
Tasks:
- Coordinating EYP office work in Brussels and the information exchange between
- member organizations, the board and other stakeholders
- Assisting in organizing meetings and other events at European level
- Supporting the European board of the EYP in its work
- Implementing the annual working plan
- Lobbying, fundraising and developing partnerships for EYP
- Supporting the financial and administration work of the EYP
The ideal candidate would fulfill the following criteria:
- Be involved in youth media work, preferably on an international scale
- Hold an university degree in communication, journalism, economics, political sciences or related fields;
- Be younger than 30 years old
- Have experience in human resources management, financial and project management
- Be highly motivated and have very good communication skills
- Have the ability to coordinate the European platform of young media associations
- Have knowledge of the functioning of the European institutions
- Be proficient in English and French
- Preferably, have been involved in the European Youth Press or any of its member organizations and be committed to EYP, its aims and its activities
- Be available to travel and to work during some weekends if need be.
The new Secretary General will work 30 hours per week in Brussels, Belgium on the basis of a services contract offered to a self-employed person.
