CTJM is not-for-profit membership association of young journalists in broadcast, print and electronic media from Moldova. CTJM was founded and registered in 2002 as an initiative of Moldovan youth media representatives, Independent Journalist Center and UNICEF Moldova.
At this point in time CTJM has a three years long experience of developing and strengthening youth media in Moldova . Due to CTJM's effort the number of young newspapers in Moldova increased from 19 in 2002 to 145 at the present. Alongside with the numerical increase it was registered a qualitative progress of youth media.
Mission
CTJM efforts to develop youth media in Moldova through:
- supporting and promoting the youth media among young people and adults
- developing the independent youth media in the country
- advocating the young journalists' rights
- facilitating the access of youth to information
Activities
Trainings and consultation for young journalists in the fields of:
- Management of youth press
- Basics of journalism
- Photojournalism
- Newspaper design and layout
Network activities:
- Monthly meetings of young journalists and Press Club
Publications:
- Ziarul Tau (eng: "Your Newspaper")
- Youth Press in the Republic of Moldova Guide is edited annually
- Electronic newsletters Youth Press News and Your Newsletter
