FEJS Macedonia
FEJS Macedonia was established in 2003 as a non-profit, independent organization dedicated to the students and their problems and needs. This organization promotes and mediates the communication between students, professors, university officials, professional journalists and media in general.
Since its founding, FEJS Macedonia along with its European partners, organized a number of conferences, seminars, workshops and lectures focused on some important issues, such as human rights, minority rights, journalism and minorities, reporting diversity, digital photography, online journalism, communication relations between Europe and developing countries, etc. Hundreds of students from all over Europe participated in those events.
FEJS Macedonia has two goals in its field of service. Primarily, it works to strengthen the overall cooperation among the Balkan countries using multimedia journalism; furthermore it works towards linking Macedonia to the European Union and exchanging multilateral and international information for the improvement of European Journalism.
As a local organization FEJS Macedonia aims to widen the perspective and introduce multiple opportunities for journalism students who are willing to contribute towards the upbringing of an objective, democratic society in which biases and prejudices will be overcome through proper distribution of quality information.
At the end of 2008 FEJS Macedonia established http://www.mladiinfo.com, a portal whose main goal is to offer students all over Europe various information connected with the available studying possibilities, scholarships, grants, trainings and conferences, various calls, working and internship opportunities. The idea is to help young people accomplish their goals as well as to complete their education. www.mladiinfo.com was chosen as one of the five best projects for 2009 by the World Summit Youth Award in the category Education for All.
