The Association of Students in Journalism and Communication Studies from Romania
The Association of Students in Journalists and Communication (ASJC) – Youthpress Romania is a professional NGO that brings together a community of young journalists and communicators. We offer personal development and networking opportunities through our own projects and by faciliting the participation of members to national and international events, organized by our partners.
ASJC – Youthpress Romania develops contacts at an international level with the aim of helping the Romanian media system to get closer to the European standards. Therefore, we offer a network of journalists from all over Europe to our members and access to projects dedicated to the ones passionated by journalism and communication to Romanian youth.
Our regular activities are the organization of media events, trainings, conferences and workshops, meant to include the young journalists into the European and national professional media landscape.
According to its statutes, it’s formed only by members under 30 years old. The organization started to function in 2005, but obtained its legal registration in 2008.
